abi salami
Abi Salami is an award-winning Nigerian-American artist known for her deeply symbolic, surrealist paintings that explore the emotional complexity of race, identity, and belonging. A self-taught painter with a master’s degree in accounting, Salami left a successful corporate career to pursue art full-time — a leap that now defines her distinctive voice in the contemporary art world.

She was awarded the prestigious Hopper Prize, recognized by Saatchi Art as a Rising Star Under 35, and has been featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, D Magazine, Artland, and Artsy.
